Where/when can I drop off presents?
Please drop off presents in person or have them shipped to:

Our drop-off hours are M-F, 9:00a - 3:00p. Look for the Fostering Christmas & Newsletter Pro Signs.

What is the deadline for dropping off gifts or sending donations?
Please drop off any gifts as soon as you are able, but no later than 3pm on 12/21. We ask that monetary donations for Christmas 2023 be submitted by the end of the day on 12/20 so we have time to shop for the remaining gifts.
We accept donations year-round and will use them for other needed items throughout the year or allocate them for next Christmas.

Should I wrap the gifts I donate?
No, please do NOT wrap the presents. We must confirm each item received before giving it to a foster family. If you wrap a present, we will regrettably have to unwrap it to verify the gift.

What information should I attach to the gifts?
Each child we help is assigned a name and number; you should have received this information via email after selecting a list. Please include both pieces of information with your gift for easy sorting.
If you are missing a child’s name or number, please contact us, and we can help you locate it. If you are shipping gifts directly from Amazon or another seller, please include the child’s name and number in the gift message. (See the next question for more information!)

Can I mail gifts directly to you?
Yes! Many of our sponsors choose to have items purchased online shipped directly to our office.
If you choose this route, please forward a copy of the receipt to info@fosteringchristmas.org with the child’s name and number. This step will help us keep track of the gifts. It is also extremely helpful to include the child’s name and number on a gift message sent with the package.

Do I have to select an entire wish list, or can I choose individual items for multiple kids?
Yes, we ask that you take the entire wishlist. You can team up with others however you like to fulfill it however we ask that on drop-off all presents be delivered at the same time.

Are my gifts tax-deductible?
Yes! Just send copies of your receipts to info@fosteringchristmas.org, and we will provide you with the necessary documents. You will receive the required paperwork automatically within the first 2 weeks of the new year if you submit a monetary donation through our website.

Can I include a note/drawing from my child for my gift recipient(s)?
Absolutely! However, we must follow several rules. All notes must be anonymous. Please do not include your/your child’s name or contact details. (Many sponsors choose to sign “Santa.”) Messages must also be unsealed. Our internal team will review each note before giving it to a child. We recommend keeping any messages uplifting, loving, and full of encouragement.
